Hello everyone,
Thank you so incredibly much to all of you that were able to join us at
the Buddy Walk this past Sunday and to those of you that were there in
spirit! We had an amazing turnout this year, close to 2,000 is the
projection and Team:Presley had 113 walkers!!! Thanks to you, we won the
award for Most Walkers and broke all records for it - Woo Hoo! We had
walkers from San Antonio to Dallas to Elgin to Spicewood to Hutto to
Austin - thank you so much for taking the time out of your schedule to
drive all the way out to Reunion Ranch! The most important thing about
the Buddy Walk is raising awareness and all of you helped us to do that!
We were also able to exceed our fundraising goal of $1,000! We raised
$1,205. It came from all over too! Cathy Lejan has a son that was in
Presley's class, so she took it upon herself to help raise awareness
and funds for DSACT. She, Becky, Daniel and Sam raised money for
Team:Presley and exceeded their goal of $250!!!! Our family in Michigan pulled together and made a donation too! Michelle, one of our
neighbors had a bake sale to raise money for DSACT and Team:Presley. Our
other neighbor, Melissa, worked hard to donate these amazing carrot cakes
to the bake sale and helped us so much with putting the silent auction
baskets together! Tammy Fennell also donated some yummies to the Bake
Sale. Shannon Dahlstrom and the Lake Travis FFA rallied the troops
with their cheers and Hawaiian flare at the walk, which by the way, when
Jeffrey and I heard that cheer, we lost it!! The Lake Travis FFA also
raised money for DSACT and Team:Presley! Ernie and Monica drove all the
way from Dallas just for the walk (and Monica's parents from San
Antonio!) and stayed until the very end so they could be the highest bidder
for the Mack Brown autographed football and pennant from the silent
auction! Your purchase was a generous donation to DSACT! We wouldn't
have made our goal without all of the individual donations as well - so
thank you ALL!
Kelly, thank you so much for helping to secure volunteers from local
highschools too - we had 90 High School volunteers at the Buddy Walk this
year! Rob - we loved the TALL Balloon holder you made so we could be
seen from all around - looks great in the pictures too!
We also had the Manor Cheerleaders out there to cheer - Jordy is
Caden's babysitter and he was so excited to see you cheering everyone on!
Great Job!
There are a few pictures on Presley's site and there is also a link
there to view some of the pictures from on of the 'Official

John Beveridge as well, he volunteered his time to take lots of wonderful
pictures as one of the Official Photographers - Thank you John and
Karen!
With all of our hearts (which remember, have now doubled in size since
having Presley), THANK YOU!
